Vietnamese Health Ministry visit German Oekotec16.10.2016
The delegation of Vietnam's Ministry of Health is impressed. In their search for a sustainable, eco-friendly solution for dealing with hygiene problems in their country, the representatives of the Ministry have made a great deal of progress. The guests found exactly what they were looking for during a visit to the organic poultry producer Biofino in Emstek. This is due to the fact that since Biofino's cleaning procedures have been free from corrosive petrochemicals, the company has received top marks from the responsible inspection authorities. And this is thanks to the products from a company based in Melle, in the Osnabrücker Land region - German-Oekotec develops and produces eco-friendly, mineral-based cleaning products.
Cares for floors and skin - how is this possible?
Sigfried Bohmann washes his hands with a cleaning product which is also used to clean machinery and floors. Biofino's operations manager praises the effectiveness and also enthuses about the compatibility of the product - "The product not only cleans - it is also gentle on the skin". Many employees who previously experienced allergic reactions to the conventional cleaning product no longer have any complaints. The Vietnamese delegation is impressed.
The three Vietnamese guests at Emsteker ecopark were interested in the organic poultry production as well as the specific cleaning substances and mechanisms. Le Thanh Hai, representative of the Ministry of Health, Bui Xuan Trinh, government advisor, and Young Binh Dinh, representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Berlin, are looking for efficient and environmentally-friendly solutions in the field of hygiene - with a particular focus on the areas of food production and healthcare in Vietnam. "We are extremely impressed by the level of sterility here at the site and can imagine potential applications in our country", says Le Thanh Hai. The deep-cleaning effect is achieved purely on a mineral basis. This is a development from German-Oekotec which is not only used in the industrial and agricultural sectors but also for motorbike and car care. The products are dermatologically tested and easily biodegradable.
Good for the environment, good for employees
The positive impression gained by the Vietnamese guests is confirmed by current inspection results at Biofino. In a routine visit from the authorities, the food manufacturer was awarded 1+ for cleanliness and hygiene. "You can't get any better than that", says operations manager Bohmann. "Though it is not only the products that are important to us but also the environment and our employees". Although the new cleaning product at first glance seems to be slightly more expensive than conventional products, even on the medium term the switch is paying off as we are saving in terms of lower rates of wear and tear of equipment such as the conveyor belts. "We are already seeing that the operational life of the machinery is being significantly extended", says Bohmann.
